This is the very first print of this Deutsche Bundespost design with WIDE serial number 15mm. Second print trials have serial number 13mm wide
These are second stage of testing (1983-1984) with final phase field trials, where the Deutsche Bundespost branded cards begin to be used by the public. the color of the cards are bright red.
Toward the end of the Frankfurt trials in around 1984, cards with thermal band are produced, but the trial ends with the selection of Siemens Chip cards chosen for the National phonecard telephone network.
