This exact design was also used as the very first internal trial for Iceland, but with serial numbers in the range 00 269 9##. All known cards with 00 270 ### are for Germany
Toward the end of the Frankfurt trials some preparation was begun for further trials. Cards with thermal band were investigated, with a 92 unit trial printed as a specimen. This was followed by some internal trials of Kredit and Debit cards, but the Frankfurt trial ends with the selection of Siemens Chip cards chosen for the National phonecard telephone network.
