Australia

The Australian phonecard story starts in late 1986/ early 1987, when the first equipment came to Australia from Anritsu. Phonecards were made for Anritsu by a related company “Toppan printing” Toppan also made cards for Tamura, but for Anritsu, they produced the special ink used on the green direction arrows. This Ink is called “CC” ink.
The first cards were an INSTRUCTION card, plain white with GREY reverse. (from 1987 silver magnetic reverse replaced the grey reverse in production) Later test cards both SAMPLE and TEST types have silver magnetic reverse.
