	<p>TELLCARD was the earliest EFTPOS Smartcard project for Italy. Using Bull CP8 smart cards, Telemediacartes did a small scale demonstration in Parma Italy. 15 Pieces of Type 1 large font TELLCARD, and probably a similar number with smaller "TELLCARD" were produced. The project was rejected due to the high cost of Smartcards in comparison to normal magnetic cards.</p>
<p>It should be noted here, that a larger CP8 EFTPOS field trial for TELLCARD was conducted in 1985-1986 further north in Italy in areas close to the Swiss border. Cities of Bormi and Sondrino were included in these trials. see cards here:<br />

	<p><strong>CB News</strong> is a leading French trade publication and media platform dedicated to advertising, marketing, media, and brand communications. Founded in 1986 by journalist Christian Blachas, it operates now as a daily digital newsletter.<br />
This card was used as access and function card for a Minitel and LECAM hardware. LECAM refers to a Lecteur (Card reader where the card is inserted) and CAM (Carte a Memoire) referring to the program of smart card development supported by the French government, especially smartcard banking and public telephony.<br />

Telemediacartes made a number of cards for various projects here. These included Smartcard Payphone, Minitel, and more.</p>
<p>Sophia Antipolis is a massive technology park in the south east of France. It was designed in 1969 by French Senator Pierre Laffitte. Currently home to approximately 2500 companies. In the 1980's a number of American companies became residents during a major expansion phase. This led to a number of Telemdiacartes programs tailor-made for US company systems<br />
