This is a very early test card for CII Honeywell Bull. It is part of a series of 10 card types and manufactured as a test card for the approved IPSO trials for Blois. The national program for Smart Card development was called “Carte a Memoire” and is seen on many of the early cards of Bull, and Philips. The designation “Carte Mixte” refers to the cards being both Bank and Phone cards.
We are needing Carte Mixte No. 000, 001, 007, 008, and 010 if it exists

This CP8 test was most likely made in order to test if the lowered position of the chip interfered LESS with the magnetic strip on the reverse. More information would be welcome.
Similar cards with lowered chip position exist for SIEMENS chip tests of Germany, and are from a similar year of manufacture.

This is the forerunner of the National and International call subscriber cards. They could be used in the Public Telephones (this card for the IPSO trial in the city of Blois, and for National calls only). The calls would be charged back to the card owner’s home telephone account.
The National rollout of these cards adopted the Pyjama design, and had a series of GOLD cards as National precursors
