Description
Toppan CC ink printing demo c1992
The transfer of production and printing of phonecards was transferred to Australia around 1992.
Leigh Mardon began to produce large print run cards, and Placard the smaller print runs on behalf of Telecom Australia. Prior to this implementation both companies were asked to produce a phonecard based on the original artwork from the Geelong trials (the $1.50 surf boat)
Both cards had large white wording “SAMPLE” across the front, and the company name on the reverse. Leigh Mardon also produced a version with a dot matrix 13 digit serial number 0000123456789
The CC in demo was supplied to both companies, as the transfer involved continued use of the trademark ink.
