Visa Cash

Visa conducted many trials around the world with Visa Cash. Many of these trials lasted a number of years, but most have finished after the trial period. Visa issued cash cards with re-loadable chip, or with disposable memory chip. Cards were often pre-loaded with a form of currency, usually the currency of the country where they were issued, and supported by banks and Telecom industries. Re-loadable cards were mostly issued without a pre-loaded amount, but ready to be topped up with a currency transfer.
